Borja Arroyo Martínez

Research Technician

Borja Arroyo Martínez is a PhD student from the University of Cantabria dedicated to research, and partially to teaching.

In 2010 he obtained the degree of Engineering of Roads, Canals and Ports by the University of Cantabria, studying one year of his training in the French “Grande École” “INSA-Lyon”. In 2011 he obtained the Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering Research, and in 2015 he plans to complete the Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He has professional skills in English (level C1) and French (level B1-B2).

His relationship with the LADICIM begins in March 2010 as a fellow, continuing as an engineer hired in research projects at the end of the career. From 2011-2012 he teaches in the Materials department of the University of Cantabria under the figure of “Venia Docendi”.

LINES OF INVESTIGATION

  • Mechanical behavior of metallic materials in general.
  • Alternative essays, specifically “Small Punch” (doctoral thesis topic).
  • Corrosion under stress in aggressive environments, specifically study of steels of the petrochemical industry and high resistance in marine environments and with abundance of hydrogen (doctoral thesis topic).
  • Fracture mechanics and analysis of structural and mechanical failures.
  • Nuclear, automobile and mechanical industry in general.
