System for determining the gas permeability of a material

Abstract:

System for measuring the gas permeability of a material, comprising at least one gas storage medium, connected by at least one transport medium configured to circulate the gas therein, to one of the ends of a specimen of a material whose permeability to said gas is to be measured, located inside a device configured to keep the side faces of the specimen sealed, ensuring its leak-tightness and allowing the entry of gas through one of the ends of said specimen and the exit through the opposite end. The opposite end of said specimen is connected by a transport medium configured to circulate the gas therein, to a flowmeter comprising a mass flow detector responsible for converting the amount of gas flow at the outlet of the specimen into a given parameter.
