Abstract:
Road safety barrier, comprising: lower parts; concrete upper parts coupled onto the lower parts and joining means for the successive upper parts by their facing ends. The lower parts have an upper surface provided with a longitudinal channel for coupling in the longitudinal direction and with the possibility of limited vertical displacement of a longitudinal appendage that protrudes from a lower surface of the upper parts; the channel and the appendage have similar cross-sections and dimensions calculated so that the upper part performs a lateral rotation of a determined amplitude, in the event of a vehicle impact, and absorbs a significant part of its kinetic energy.
