Senén Pérez Abascal holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the School of Industrial and Telecommunication Engineering at the University of Cantabria (2024).

In 2024, he began his professional career as an intern at BSH Electrodomésticos España, at the Santander plant, working in the product development area. Prior to that, he gained experience in various work environments, including agriculture, livestock farming, and commercial distribution.

His Bachelor’s Thesis focused on measuring the mechanical degradation of dielectric insulating materials used in electrical transformers (Kraft paper and PSP cardboard) using Small Punch Test (SPT) techniques. The research involved accelerated thermal aging processes and validated the effectiveness of SPT as a quasi-non-destructive testing method compared to conventional tensile testing, highlighting its precision, low material consumption, and potential for compatibility studies with alternative dielectric liquids.
