Isaac Rivas Pelayo holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mining Resources Engineering from the University of Cantabria (2018) and a Master’s degree in Mining Engineering from the same university (2021). He is currently completing a Master’s in Data Science and Cloud Data Engineering at the University of Castilla-La Mancha and is pursuing a PhD in Civil Engineering at the University of Cantabria.

Since November 2019, he has been professionally active at LADICIM, where he performs and interprets mechanical tests, analyzes data using Python, and develops predictive models through machine learning algorithms. Additionally, he collaborates in process simulation using finite elements with ANSYS.

Previously, he worked as a trainee engineer at Ingeveris Mining, where he collaborated in the technical management of mining operations and the development of mining projects. He was also an intern at INGECID, participating in the preparation of his bachelor’s thesis on the production processes of black slags and molding sands in the steel industry. In 2017, he completed an internship as a mine supervision assistant at Endeavour Silver Corp, carrying out supervision tasks in mining operations and collaborating with the ventilation, planning, and surveying departments.

He has participated in the XI Doctoral Conference and the VI Scientific Dissemination Conference G-9, receiving a special mention awarded by the professional jury for the best poster in the Engineering and Architecture category.
