Manuel Ángel Solana Lastra is a Specialist Technician in Metallic Constructions. Since 1992, he has been part of the staff of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Cantabria, working in the Materials Laboratory since the foundation of LADICIM over 30 years ago.

His professional activities include the preparation of experimental tests, maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment, as well as collaboration in research projects and technological services for companies in the industrial sector. His practical experience and expertise have contributed to consolidating the Laboratory’s reputation as a benchmark in materials characterization.

He has participated in various technical training courses and has collaborated in the practical training of students and research staff, facilitating knowledge transfer in testing techniques and the use of laboratory equipment.
